DescriptionFarnesylacetic acid, also known as farnesylacetate, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesquiterpenoids. These are terpenes with three consecutive isoprene units. 5,9,13-trimethyltetradeca-4,8,12-trienoic acid is found in Teucrium oxylepis. 5,9,13-trimethyltetradeca-4,8,12-trienoic acid was first documented in 1988 (PMID: 3387600). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Farnesylacetic acid.
