These are coumarins bearing two hydroxyl groups at positions 6 and 7 of the coumarin skeleton, respectively. 6,7-dihydroxy-3-[(2-oxochromen-7-yl)oxy]chromen-2-one is found in Edgeworthia gardneri. Edgeworthin is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
