Common Name | (1r,5s,6s)-3-(hydroxymethyl)-6-isopropyl-5-{[(2z)-2-methylbut-2-enoyl]oxy}-2-oxocyclohex-3-en-1-yl (2e)-2-methylbut-2-enoate |
---|
Description | (4S)-2-(Hydroxymethyl)-4alpha,6beta-dihydroxy-5alpha-isopropyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one 4-[(Z)-2-methyl-2-butenoate]6-[(E)-2-methyl-2-butenoate] belongs to the class of organic compounds known as menthane monoterpenoids. These are monoterpenoids with a structure based on the o-, m-, or p-menthane backbone. P-menthane consists of the cyclohexane ring with a methyl group and a (2-methyl)-propyl group at the 1 and 4 ring position, respectively. The o- and m- menthanes are much rarer, and presumably arise by alkyl migration of p-menthanes. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (4S)-2-(Hydroxymethyl)-4alpha,6beta-dihydroxy-5alpha-isopropyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one 4-[(Z)-2-methyl-2-butenoate]6-[(E)-2-methyl-2-butenoate]. |
