These are sterol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically linked to the steroid skeleton. 2-{[6-(1-{1,7-dihydroxy-9a,11a-dimethyl-2h,3h,3ah,3bh,4h,6h,7h,8h,9h,9bh,10h,11h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-1-yl}ethoxy)-4-hydroxy-2-methyloxan-3-yl]oxy}-6-({[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is found in Periploca sepium. 2-[(6-{[6-(1-{5,14-Dihydroxy-2,15-dimethyltetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadec-7-en-14-yl}ethoxy)-4-hydroxy-2-methyloxan-3-yl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl)methoxy]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
