Hydroxyanthraquinones are compounds containing a hydroxyanthraquinone moiety, which consists of an anthracene bearing a quinone, and hydroxyl group. [(2r,3s,4s,5r,6s)-3,4-dihydroxy-6-[(7-hydroxy-4-methoxy-3-methyl-9,10-dioxoanthracen-2-yl)oxy]-5-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methyl acetate is found in Rubia schumanniana. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(2R,3S,4S,5R,6S)-3,4-dihydroxy-6-[(7-hydroxy-4-methoxy-3-methyl-9,10-dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracen-2-yl)oxy]-5-{[(2S,3R,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methyl acetate. |
