| Description | (4S)-8beta,8abeta-Epoxy-4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a,9-octahydro-3,4abeta,5beta-trimethylnaphtho[2,3-b]furan-4beta-ol isobutyrate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthofurans. Naphthofurans are compounds containing a furan ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 5 membered- ring aromatic ring with four carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. (1s,8s,9s,10s,13r)-6,9,10-trimethyl-4,14-dioxatetracyclo[7.5.0.0¹,¹³.0³,⁷]tetradeca-3(7),5-dien-8-yl 2-methylpropanoate is found in Ligularia cyathiceps and Pittocaulon praecox. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (4S)-8beta,8abeta-Epoxy-4,4a,5,6,7,8,8a,9-octahydro-3,4abeta,5beta-trimethylnaphtho[2,3-b]furan-4beta-ol isobutyrate. |
