Description | Vijayosine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as stilbene glycosides. Stilbene glycosides are compounds structurally characterized by the presence of a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically linked to the stilbene skeleton. bis({2,4-dihydroxy-3-[(2s,3r,4r,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]phenyl})ethane-1,2-dione is found in Pterocarpus marsupium. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Vijayosine. |
