Description3-[4-Hydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methyl-2-butenyl)phenyl]propenoic acid methyl ester belongs to the class of organic compounds known as coumaric acid esters. These are aromatic compounds containing an ester derivative of coumaric acid. methyl (2e)-3-{4-hydroxy-3-[(2e)-4-hydroxy-3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl]phenyl}prop-2-enoate is found in Artemisia xanthochroa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3-[4-Hydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methyl-2-butenyl)phenyl]propenoic acid methyl ester.
