These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. (2e,6e)-8-{[(1r,2s,4s,5s,6s,10s)-5-hydroxy-10-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-3,9-dioxatricyclo[4.4.0.0²,⁴]dec-7-en-2-yl]methoxy}-3,7-dimethyl-8-oxoocta-2,6-dien-1-yl (2e,6z)-8-hydroxy-2,6-dimethylocta-2,6-dienoate is found in Penstemon newberryi.
