DescriptionRadicicol, also known as monorden or KF9-a, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxybenzoic acid derivatives. Hydroxybenzoic acid derivatives are compounds containing a hydroxybenzoic acid (or a derivative), which is a benzene ring bearing a carboxyl and a hydroxyl groups. (9e)-16-chloro-17,19-dihydroxy-4-methyl-3,7-dioxatricyclo[13.4.0.0⁶,⁸]nonadeca-1(19),9,11,15,17-pentaene-2,13-dione is found in Fusarium tenuicristatum. (9e)-16-chloro-17,19-dihydroxy-4-methyl-3,7-dioxatricyclo[13.4.0.0⁶,⁸]nonadeca-1(19),9,11,15,17-pentaene-2,13-dione was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 35841121). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on radicicol (PMID: 35421731) (PMID: 35752988) (PMID: 35569376).
