These are organic compounds containing a lactone ring of at least twelve members. 2-(3,4-dihydroxy-5-methoxyphenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-3-[(3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[(3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl)oxy]methyl}oxan-2-yl)oxy]chromen-4-one is found in Abies nephrolepis, Citrus reticulata and Picea abies. 2-(3,4-Dihydroxy-5-methoxyphenyl)-5,7-dihydroxy-3-[(3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[(3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl)oxy]methyl}oxan-2-yl)oxy]-4H-chromen-4-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
