| Description | Biochanin A 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-D-glucoside), also known as biochanin a 7-O-beta-D-glucoside 6''-O-malonate, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as isoflavonoid o-glycosides. These are o-glycosylated derivatives of isoflavonoids, which are natural products derived from 3-phenylchromen-4-one. Thus, biochanin a 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-D-glucoside) is considered to be a flavonoid. Biochanin A 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-D-glucoside) is a primary metabolite. Primary metabolites are metabolically or physiologically essential metabolites. They are directly involved in an organism’s growth, development or reproduction. 3-oxo-3-{[(2r,3s,4s,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-{[5-hydroxy-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)-4-oxochromen-7-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methoxy}propanoic acid is found in Pueraria montana and Trifolium subterraneum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on biochanin A 7-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-D-glucoside). |
