| Description | (1R,2S,8R,10S,11S,12S,14R,16R,17S)-16-(furan-3-yl)-2,7,7,11,17-pentamethyl-5,15-dioxo-6,13-dioxapentacyclo[9.8.0.0²,⁸.0¹²,¹⁴.0¹²,¹⁷]Nonadec-3-en-10-yl acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as limonoids. These are highly oxygenated, modified terpenoids with a prototypical structure either containing or derived from a precursor with a 4,4,8-trimethyl-17-furanylsteroid skeleton. All naturally occurring citrus limonoids contain a furan ring attached to the D-ring, at C-17, as well as oxygen containing functional groups at C-3, C-4, C-7, C-16 and C-17. (1r,2s,8r,10s,11s,12s,14r,16s,17s)-16-(furan-3-yl)-2,7,7,11,17-pentamethyl-5,15-dioxo-6,13-dioxapentacyclo[9.8.0.0²,⁸.0¹²,¹⁴.0¹²,¹⁷]nonadec-3-en-10-yl acetate is found in Carapa procera. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,2S,8R,10S,11S,12S,14R,16R,17S)-16-(furan-3-yl)-2,7,7,11,17-pentamethyl-5,15-dioxo-6,13-dioxapentacyclo[9.8.0.0²,⁸.0¹²,¹⁴.0¹²,¹⁷]Nonadec-3-en-10-yl acetate. |
