Description3'-Methoxymaysin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid c-glycosides. Flavonoid C-glycosides are compounds containing a carbohydrate moiety which is C-glycosidically linked to the 2-phenylchromen-4-one flavonoid backbone. 5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-6-[(2s,3r,4r,6s)-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-5-oxo-3-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]chromen-4-one is found in Zea mays. 5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-6-[(2s,3r,4r,6s)-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-5-oxo-3-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]chromen-4-one was first documented in 2007 (PMID: 18232407). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on 3'-Methoxymaysin (PMID: 34952556) (PMID: 27213824).
