| Description | Calcaratarin C belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpene lactones. These are diterpenoids containing a lactone moiety. 4-{2-[(1s,4as,8as)-5,5,8a-trimethyl-2-methylidene-hexahydro-1h-naphthalen-1-yl]-2-hydroxyethyl}-5h-furan-2-one is found in Alpinia calcarata. 4-{2-[(1s,4as,8as)-5,5,8a-trimethyl-2-methylidene-hexahydro-1h-naphthalen-1-yl]-2-hydroxyethyl}-5h-furan-2-one was first documented in 2016 (PMID: 26965832). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Calcaratarin C. |
