These are diterpenoids in which an isoprene unit is glycosylated. methyl (1r,2r,3s,4s,5r,9s,10s,13s,14r)-2,3-dihydroxy-14-(hydroxymethyl)-5,9-dimethyl-14-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}tetracyclo[11.2.1.0¹,¹⁰.0⁴,⁹]hexadecane-5-carboxylate is found in Ipomoea nil. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on pharboside C.
