These are sesquiterpene lactones with a structure based on the germacranolide skeleton, characterized by a gamma lactone fused to a 1,7-dimethylcyclodec-1-ene moiety. methyl (1s,4r,6s,9s,10r,11s)-10-[(2s,3r)-2,3-dimethyloxirane-2-carbonyloxy]-9-hydroxy-3-methyl-12-methylidene-13-oxo-5,14-dioxatricyclo[9.3.0.0⁴,⁶]tetradeca-2,7-diene-8-carboxylate is found in Melampodium leucanthum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on methyl (1S,4R,6S,9S,10R,11S)-10-[(2S,3R)-2,3-dimethyloxirane-2-carbonyloxy]-9-hydroxy-3-methyl-12-methylidene-13-oxo-5,14-dioxatricyclo[9.3.0.0⁴,⁶]Tetradeca-2,7-diene-8-carboxylate. |
