| Description | Panicein C belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesquiterpenoids. These are terpenes with three consecutive isoprene units. 3-[(3e)-5-(2,5-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-methylpent-3-en-1-yl]-5,6-dihydroxy-2,4-dimethylbenzaldehyde is found in Halichondria panicea, Haliclona fulva and Haliclona mucosa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Panicein C. |
