| Description | Debenzoylzucchini factor B belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. Debenzoylzucchini factor B is a moderately basic compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, Debenzoylzucchini factor B has been detected, but not quantified in, fruits. 11-(hydroxymethyl)-4,4,6b,8a,11,12b,14b-heptamethyl-1,2,3,4a,5,7,8,9,10,12,12a,13-dodecahydropicen-3-yl 4-aminobenzoate is found in Cucurbita pepo. This could make debenzoylzucchini factor b a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. |
