| Description | Cycloparviflorolide belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lactones. These are cyclic esters of hydroxy carboxylic acids, containing a 1-oxacycloalkan-2-one structure, or analogues having unsaturation or heteroatoms replacing one or more carbon atoms of the ring. (1s,2r,6r,7r,8s,10r,13s)-2,7,8-trihydroxy-6,7,13-trimethyl-4,9-dioxatetracyclo[6.5.1.0¹,¹⁰.0⁶,¹⁰]tetradecan-3-one is found in Illicium parviflorum. (1s,2r,6r,7r,8s,10r,13s)-2,7,8-trihydroxy-6,7,13-trimethyl-4,9-dioxatetracyclo[6.5.1.0¹,¹⁰.0⁶,¹⁰]tetradecan-3-one was first documented in 2014 (PMID: 25272497). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Cycloparviflorolide. |
