DescriptionFarnesyl octanoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesquiterpenoids. These are terpenes with three consecutive isoprene units. 3,7,11-trimethyldodeca-2,6,10-trien-1-yl octanoate is found in Ophrys arachnitiformis. 3,7,11-trimethyldodeca-2,6,10-trien-1-yl octanoate was first documented in 2013 (PMID: 24197916). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on farnesyl octanoate.
