These are organic compounds containing the 1,3-diphenylpropene moiety with one benzene ring bearing one or more hydroxyl groups. 2-[(3-{3-[1,3-dihydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)propyl]-4-hydroxy-5-methoxyphenyl}prop-2-en-1-yl)oxy]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is found in Bidens parviflora. 2-[(3-{3-[1,3-Dihydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)propyl]-4-hydroxy-5-methoxyphenyl}prop-2-en-1-yl)oxy]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
