Aristolanes arise from the C6,C11 cyclization of the bicyclic eremophilane skeleton. 1,1,7,7a-tetramethyl-1ah,2h,3h,5h,6h,7h,7bh-cyclopropa[a]naphthalene is found in Annona muricata, Aristolochia arcuata, Bazzania japonica, Callistemon rigidus, Calypogeia muelleriana, Calypogeia suecica, Hyptis spicigera, Croton hemiargyreus, Cryptomeria japonica, Cynara cardunculus, Grangea maderaspatana, Hyptis goyazensis, Laurencia decumbens, Melissa officinalis, Nardostachys jatamansi, Pinus massoniana, Piper aduncum, Platostoma africanum, Antillogorgia americana, Rhytisma fulvum, Saccogyna viticulosa, Jungermannia infusca, Trigonella foenum-graecum, Tritomaria quinquedentata and Valeriana jatamansi.
