Description2-[(1R)-3-methyl-1-(1-{[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-4-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}naphthalen-2-yl)but-2-en-1-yl]-1,4-dihydronaphthalene-1,4-dione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as vitamin k compounds. These are quinone lipids containing a methylated naphthoquinone ring structure, and vary in the aliphatic side chain attached at the 3-position. 2-[(1r)-3-methyl-1-(1-{[(2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-4-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}naphthalen-2-yl)but-2-en-1-yl]naphthalene-1,4-dione is found in Firmiana simplex. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-[(1R)-3-methyl-1-(1-{[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-4-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}naphthalen-2-yl)but-2-en-1-yl]-1,4-dihydronaphthalene-1,4-dione.
