DescriptionBeilschmin D belongs to the class of organic compounds known as dibenzylbutane lignans. These are lignan compounds containing a 2,3-dibenzylbutane moiety. 4-methoxy-6-[(1s,3s,4r,5s)-3-(7-methoxy-2h-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-4,5-dimethyl-2,6-dioxabicyclo[3.1.0]hexan-1-yl]-2h-1,3-benzodioxole is found in Beilschmiedia tsangii. 4-methoxy-6-[(1s,3s,4r,5s)-3-(7-methoxy-2h-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-4,5-dimethyl-2,6-dioxabicyclo[3.1.0]hexan-1-yl]-2h-1,3-benzodioxole was first documented in 2007 (PMID: 17520523). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Beilschmin D.
