These are organic polycyclic compounds containing a furan ring fused to a pyran ring. Furan is a five-membered aromatic ring with four carbon atoms and one oxygen atom. Pyran a six-membered heterocyclic, non-aromatic ring, made up of five carbon atoms and one oxygen atom and containing two double bonds. (1s,2s,3r,7s,9s,12r,13r,15r,17r,18r)-13-(furan-2-yl)-3,9-dihydroxy-15-isopropyl-4,6,6,12-tetramethyl-8,14,19,20-tetraoxahexacyclo[13.3.1.1³,¹⁸.0²,⁷.0⁹,¹⁸.0¹²,¹⁷]icos-4-en-2-yl acetate is found in Entandrophragma utile.
