These are sesquiterpene lactones with a structure based on the germacranolide skeleton, characterized by a gamma lactone fused to a 1,7-dimethylcyclodec-1-ene moiety. (1r,2s,6r,7r,8r,11s,12r,14r)-1,7,11-trihydroxy-9,14-dimethyl-5-methylidene-4-oxo-3,13-dioxatetracyclo[8.4.0.0²,⁶.0¹²,¹⁴]tetradec-9-en-8-yl (2z)-2-methylbut-2-enoate is found in Montanoa tomentosa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,2S,6R,7R,8R,11S,12R,14R)-1,7,11-trihydroxy-9,14-dimethyl-5-methylidene-4-oxo-3,13-dioxatetracyclo[8.4.0.0²,⁶.0¹²,¹⁴]Tetradec-9-en-8-yl (2Z)-2-methylbut-2-enoate. |
