Description5,7-Dihydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-8-(4-hydroxy-3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-4H-chromen-4-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 3'-o-methylisoflavones. These are flavones with methoxy groups attached to the C2' atom of the isoflavone backbone. 5,7-dihydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-8-(4-hydroxy-3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)chromen-4-one is found in Millettia brandisiana. 5,7-Dihydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-8-(4-hydroxy-3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-4H-chromen-4-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
