| Description | Lupeone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. (5ar,5br,7ar,11ar,11br,13ar,13br)-3a,5a,5b,8,8,11a-hexamethyl-1-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-tetradecahydro-1h-cyclopenta[a]chrysen-9-one is found in Dysoxylum malabaricum, Kleinia neriifolia, Notholaena neglecta, Pueraria montana and Salvia recognita. (5ar,5br,7ar,11ar,11br,13ar,13br)-3a,5a,5b,8,8,11a-hexamethyl-1-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-tetradecahydro-1h-cyclopenta[a]chrysen-9-one was first documented in 2010 (PMID: 21355238). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on lupeone (PMID: 31815547) (PMID: 26186458) (PMID: 24956822) (PMID: 22759912). |
