DescriptionPenasterol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. (1r,3as,7s,9as,11ar)-7-hydroxy-6,6,9a,11a-tetramethyl-1-[(2r)-6-methylhept-5-en-2-yl]-1h,2h,3h,4h,5h,5ah,7h,8h,9h,10h,11h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthrene-3a-carboxylic acid was first documented in 2007 (PMID: 17315957). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Penasterol (PMID: 25637679) (PMID: 21821232) (PMID: 18004814).
