Carbazoles are compounds containing a three ring system containing a pyrrole ring fused on either side to a benzene ring. 10-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-3-(4-methylpent-3-en-1-yl)-11h-pyrano[3,2-a]carbazole is found in Murraya euchrestifolia and Murraya koenigii. Murrayamine-B is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
