| Description | 18-Dimethoxyferruginol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpenoids. These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. (4bs,8r,8ar)-8-(dimethoxymethyl)-2-isopropyl-4b,8-dimethyl-5,6,7,8a,9,10-hexahydrophenanthren-3-ol is found in Torreya nucifera. (4bs,8r,8ar)-8-(dimethoxymethyl)-2-isopropyl-4b,8-dimethyl-5,6,7,8a,9,10-hexahydrophenanthren-3-ol was first documented in 2006 (PMID: 16848519). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 18-Dimethoxyferruginol. |
