Description[(2R,3S,4S,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(3-hydroxy-4,5-dimethoxyphenoxy)oxan-2-yl]methyl (2E,4E)-5-[(1R,3S,5S,8S)-3,8-dihydroxy-1,5-dimethyl-7-oxo-6-oxabicyclo[3.2.1]Octan-8-yl]-3-methylpenta-2,4-dienoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as abscisic acids and derivatives. These are terpene compounds containing the abscisic acid moiety, which is characterized by a 3-methylpenta-2,4-dienoic acid attached to the C1 carbon of a 4-oxocyclohex-2-ene moiety. [(2r,3s,4s,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(3-hydroxy-4,5-dimethoxyphenoxy)oxan-2-yl]methyl (2e,4e)-5-[(1r,3s,5s,8s)-3,8-dihydroxy-1,5-dimethyl-7-oxo-6-oxabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-8-yl]-3-methylpenta-2,4-dienoate is found in Litsea glutinosa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(2R,3S,4S,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(3-hydroxy-4,5-dimethoxyphenoxy)oxan-2-yl]methyl (2E,4E)-5-[(1R,3S,5S,8S)-3,8-dihydroxy-1,5-dimethyl-7-oxo-6-oxabicyclo[3.2.1]Octan-8-yl]-3-methylpenta-2,4-dienoate.
