DescriptionLigupurpuroside B belongs to the class of organic compounds known as oligosaccharides. These are carbohydrates made up of 3 to 10 monosaccharide units linked to each other through glycosidic bonds. (2r,3r,4r,5r,6r)-4-{[(2s,3r,4s,5r,6s)-3,4-dihydroxy-6-methyl-5-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-6-[2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethoxy]oxan-3-yl (2e)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Ligustrum robustum. (2r,3r,4r,5r,6r)-4-{[(2s,3r,4s,5r,6s)-3,4-dihydroxy-6-methyl-5-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-(hydroxymethyl)-6-[2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethoxy]oxan-3-yl (2e)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate was first documented in 2003 (PMID: 12828473). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on ligupurpuroside B (PMID: 34609151) (PMID: 30223054) (PMID: 30213239) (PMID: 27473966).
