| Description | Monodechloroaminopyrrolnitrin, also known as 2-chloro-6-(pyrrol-3-yl)aniline or 4-(2-amino-3-chlorophenyl)pyrrole, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as phenylpyrroles. These are polycyclic aromatic compounds containing a benzene ring linked to a pyrrole ring through a CC or CN bond. Monodechloroaminopyrrolnitrin is a secondary metabolite. Secondary metabolites are metabolically or physiologically non-essential metabolites that may serve a role as defense or signalling molecules. In some cases they are simply molecules that arise from the incomplete metabolism of other secondary metabolites. monodechloroaminopyrrolnitrin is found in Burkholderia cepacia. monodechloroaminopyrrolnitrin was first documented in 2003 (PMID: 14616084). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on monodechloroaminopyrrolnitrin (PMID: 17924666) (PMID: 15321684). |
