These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. (3r)-5-{[(2s,3r,4s,5r,6r)-2-{[5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxochromen-3-yl]oxy}-3,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-4-yl]oxy}-3-hydroxy-3-methyl-5-oxopentanoic acid is found in Polygala japonica. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3R)-5-{[(2S,3R,4S,5R,6R)-2-{[5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromen-3-yl]oxy}-3,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-4-yl]oxy}-3-hydroxy-3-methyl-5-oxopentanoic acid. |
