DescriptionViteagnusin D belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpenoids. These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. (1r,2r,4as,8as)-1-(3-hydroxy-3-methylpent-4-en-1-yl)-2,5,5,8a-tetramethyl-hexahydro-2h-naphthalen-1-ol is found in Vitex agnus-castus. (1r,2r,4as,8as)-1-(3-hydroxy-3-methylpent-4-en-1-yl)-2,5,5,8a-tetramethyl-hexahydro-2h-naphthalen-1-ol was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 35157086). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on viteagnusin D.
