DescriptionLincomycin-B belongs to the class of organic compounds known as proline and derivatives. Proline and derivatives are compounds containing proline or a derivative thereof resulting from reaction of proline at the amino group or the carboxy group, or from the replacement of any hydrogen of glycine by a heteroatom. (2s,4r)-4-ethyl-n-[(1r,2r)-2-hydroxy-1-[(2r,3r,4s,5r,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(methylsulfanyl)oxan-2-yl]propyl]-1-methylpyrrolidine-2-carboximidic acid is found in Streptomyces lincolnensis. (2s,4r)-4-ethyl-n-[(1r,2r)-2-hydroxy-1-[(2r,3r,4s,5r,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(methylsulfanyl)oxan-2-yl]propyl]-1-methylpyrrolidine-2-carboximidic acid was first documented in 2015 (PMID: 26248490). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Lincomycin-B (PMID: 32816147) (PMID: 31916478).
