DescriptionSchumanniophytine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as linear pyranocoumarins. These are organic compounds containing a pyran (or a hydrogenated derivative) linearly fused to a coumarin moiety. 2-methyl-8h-1,11-dioxa-8-azatetraphene-4,5,10-trione is found in Schumanniophyton magnificum and Schumanniophyton problematicum. 2-methyl-8h-1,11-dioxa-8-azatetraphene-4,5,10-trione was first documented in 1985 (PMID: 17340393). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Schumanniophytine (PMID: 17269014).
