DescriptionSordarial belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cinnamyl alcohols. These are aromatic alcohols containing a 3-phenylprop-2-en-1-ol moiety. 2-[(1e,3r,4s)-3,4-dihydroxypent-1-en-1-yl]-6-hydroxybenzaldehyde is found in Gelasinospora longispora and Neurospora santi-florii. 2-[(1e,3r,4s)-3,4-dihydroxypent-1-en-1-yl]-6-hydroxybenzaldehyde was first documented in 2006 (PMID: 16595963). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Sordarial (PMID: 30908040).
