DescriptionSiphonarienone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as acyclic monoterpenoids. These are monoterpenes that do not contain a cycle. (4e,6s,8s,10s)-4,6,8,10-tetramethyltridec-4-en-3-one is found in Siphonaria pectinata. (4e,6s,8s,10s)-4,6,8,10-tetramethyltridec-4-en-3-one was first documented in 2004 (PMID: 15101758). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Siphonarienone (PMID: 18229932).
