Tertiary alcohols are compounds in which a hydroxy group, -OH, is attached to a saturated carbon atom R3COH (R not H ). 7-(4-hydroxy-1,4-dimethylcyclohex-2-en-1-yl)-7-methyl-1-oxaspiro[2.4]heptane-4,5-diol is found in Fusarium culmorum and Fusarium sporotrichioides. ACMC-20dial is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
