These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C7 atom of the flavonoid backbone. 6,7-dimethoxy-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)chromen-4-one is found in Gynerium sagittatum. 6,7-Dimethoxy-2-(4-methoxy-phenyl)-chromen-4-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
