DescriptionAposphaerin C belongs to the class of organic compounds known as chromones. Chromones are compounds containing a benzopyran-4-one moiety. {7-hydroxy-4-oxo-2-[(1e)-pent-1-en-1-yl]-2,3-dihydro-1-benzopyran-5-yl}acetic acid is found in Neophaeosphaeria quadriseptata. It was first documented in 2007 (PMID: 18052326). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Aposphaerin C.
