Description(4AR,6aR,6bS,7R,8S,8aS,9R,10R,12aS,14aR,14bR)-7,8,9,10-tetrahydroxy-8a-(hydroxymethyl)-4,4,6a,6b,11,11,14b-heptamethyl-3,4,4a,5,6,6a,6b,7,8,8a,9,10,11,12,12a,14,14a,14b-octadecahydropicen-3-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. (4ar,6ar,6bs,7r,8s,8as,9r,10r,12as,14ar,14br)-7,8,9,10-tetrahydroxy-8a-(hydroxymethyl)-4,4,6a,6b,11,11,14b-heptamethyl-5,6,7,8,9,10,12,12a,14,14a-decahydro-4ah-picen-3-one is found in Hydrocotyle ranunculoides. It was first documented in 2002 (PMID: 35412727).
