Description(1R,2R,5S,10S,11R,14S,15R,16R)-5,10,11,14-tetrahydroxy-14-[(1S)-1-hydroxyethyl]-2,15-dimethyltetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadec-7-en-16-yl pyridine-3-carboxylate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as gluco/mineralocorticoids, progestogins and derivatives. These are steroids with a structure based on a hydroxylated prostane moiety. (1s,3ar,3bs,7s,9ar,9br,11r,11ar)-1,3a,3b,7-tetrahydroxy-1-[(1s)-1-hydroxyethyl]-9a,11a-dimethyl-2h,3h,4h,6h,7h,8h,9h,9bh,10h,11h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-11-yl pyridine-3-carboxylate is found in Cynanchum caudatum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,2R,5S,10S,11R,14S,15R,16R)-5,10,11,14-tetrahydroxy-14-[(1S)-1-hydroxyethyl]-2,15-dimethyltetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadec-7-en-16-yl pyridine-3-carboxylate.
