Description(1S,2R,4R,7S,8Z,10S)-12-[(acetyloxy)methyl]-7-hydroxy-4,8-dimethyl-13-oxo-3,14-dioxatricyclo[9.3.0.0²,⁴]Tetradeca-8,11-dien-10-yl (2E)-2-methylbut-2-enoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene lactones. These are prenol lipids containing a lactone ring. (1s,2r,4r,7s,8z,10s)-12-[(acetyloxy)methyl]-7-hydroxy-4,8-dimethyl-13-oxo-3,14-dioxatricyclo[9.3.0.0²,⁴]tetradeca-8,11-dien-10-yl (2e)-2-methylbut-2-enoate is found in Vernonia marginata. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2R,4R,7S,8Z,10S)-12-[(acetyloxy)methyl]-7-hydroxy-4,8-dimethyl-13-oxo-3,14-dioxatricyclo[9.3.0.0²,⁴]Tetradeca-8,11-dien-10-yl (2E)-2-methylbut-2-enoate.
