DescriptionCaesaldekarin L belongs to the class of organic compounds known as isocopalane and spongiane diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids with a structure based on the isocopalane (Tetradecahydro-1,1,4a,7,8,8a-hexamethylphenanthrene) or the 15,16-epoxyisocopalane skeleton. (1s,4as,4br,7s,8s,8ar,10s,10as)-2-ethenyl-8-(hydroxymethyl)-1,4b,8-trimethyl-4a,5,6,7,8a,9,10,10a-octahydro-4h-phenanthrene-1,7,10-triol is found in Guilandina bonduc. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Caesaldekarin L.
