| Description | [(2R,3R,4S,5R,6S)-6-{[(2S,3R,5R,6R,8S)-2-[(benzoyloxy)methyl]-6-hydroxy-8-methyl-9,10-dioxatetracyclo[4.3.1.0²,⁵.0³,⁸]Decan-3-yl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]methyl benzoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene glycosides. These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. [(2s,3r,5r,6r,8s)-3-{[(2s,3r,4s,5r,6r)-6-[(benzoyloxy)methyl]-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]oxy}-6-hydroxy-8-methyl-9,10-dioxatetracyclo[4.3.1.0²,⁵.0³,⁸]decan-2-yl]methyl benzoate is found in Paeonia emodi and Paeonia lactiflora. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(2R,3R,4S,5R,6S)-6-{[(2S,3R,5R,6R,8S)-2-[(benzoyloxy)methyl]-6-hydroxy-8-methyl-9,10-dioxatetracyclo[4.3.1.0²,⁵.0³,⁸]Decan-3-yl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]methyl benzoate. |
