| Description | 28-Epi-Scutianene E belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cyclic peptides. Cyclic peptides are compounds containing a cyclic moiety bearing a peptide backbone. (2e)-n-[(3s,4s,7s,10z)-5,8-dihydroxy-7-[(s)-hydroxy(phenyl)methyl]-3-isopropyl-2-oxa-6,9-diazabicyclo[10.2.2]hexadeca-1(14),5,8,10,12,15-hexaen-4-yl]-3-phenylprop-2-enimidic acid is found in Discaria americana and Scutia buxifolia. (2e)-n-[(3s,4s,7s,10z)-5,8-dihydroxy-7-[(s)-hydroxy(phenyl)methyl]-3-isopropyl-2-oxa-6,9-diazabicyclo[10.2.2]hexadeca-1(14),5,8,10,12,15-hexaen-4-yl]-3-phenylprop-2-enimidic acid was first documented in 2011 (PMID: 21420695). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 28-epi-Scutianene E. |
